Imagine if you woke up one day and couldn’t wiggle your toes…

Join us for an evening with national speaker

KEVIN BROOKS
To Impact. To Motivate. To Inspire.

THURSDAY, APRIL 30th ~ 6:30-8:30 PM

Burlington High School

Tired of hearing your kids say, “fine” when you ask how was their day?  Or “nothing” when you ask what happened at school?

On April 30th, students at Burlington High School & Hunt Middle School will be inspired by Kevin Brooks tragic and powerful story during school assemblies. All parents, caregivers, and community members are invited to a FREE OPEN PRESENTATION to hear what your children learned and how to talk to them about it.

KEVIN’S STORY: Fueled by a deadly combination of alcohol and that “it will never happen to me
attitude”, Kevin drove away from a party intoxicated and speeding with a friend beside him. His story about how a tragic crash left him paralyzed from the chest down will focus on:

Impaired, distracted and dangerous driving
Suicide prevention, self harm and depression
Bullying, relationships, forgiveness
Decision making and peer pressure
Leadership and creating positive change

This event is free and open to the public as part of our parent education and support program YouParent.  If you have questions please direct them to Mariah Sanderson at (802) 652-0997 or mariah@burlingtonpartnership.org.
